Number 11: A Black oud and and bluebell scented candle
Happy Piranha’s Number 11 scented candle is a dark and mysterious blend of black oud mix (Dark Oud paired with rose, patchouli, sandalwood and jasmine) and the bluebells of the deep, dark forest.
There’s been some stranger things going on at Happy Piranha HQ recently, one of which was the sudden appearance of this scented candle. All we know is that it’s called number 11 and it smells pretty special.
If you take off the lid you’ll see some droplets of red. Has the candle been bleeding? Anyways, it’s getting dark here, and there’s sounds coming from the woods… Time to light a candle.
| What’s Oud? Oud is derived from Agarwood, a dark, resinous wood primarily found in Arabia. It’s formed from the heartwood of Aquilaria trees that have been infected by Phialophora parasitica. In response to the attack the tree produces a dark, aromatic resin (oud), resulting in a denser, darker wood with a highly prized scent. |

What does Oud smell like? Oud has a complex scent which is hard to compare. Some of the usual descriptives include “oriental-woody” and “very soft fruity-floral” notes. Some varieties can procure “sweet-balsamic” notes and “shades of vanilla and musk”. Our Oud mix has been blended with rose, patchouli, sandlewood and jasmine to produce a deep, complex aroma. |

Happy Piranha’s scented candles are meticulously crafted by hand in our candle workshop, nestled away in the Cornish coast.
They have an average burn time of 35 hours and a snug lid to keep them fresh for further use.
